Read This If You're Just Starting A Business To Avoid Problems That Cost Thousands Of Hours Of Your Time.

It is crucial for you to know these 3 things before starting a business. An entrepreneur is a lifestyle not for most, but it is for you and I. We are problem solvers, creators and innovators. I officially started my career in 2021 marketing for myself and gradually adding small companies on. The first mistake I made was selling a product that did not solve a problem. “Ethan, What does that mean?” I attempted to sell ‘migraine prevention courses.’ Little did I know that no one would buy even after I threw thousands of dollars to Meta and Google. I tried 9 different ads. First I tested headlines and then creatives and finally copied ! Nothing worked. Based on the data I concluded that the product had no market. My theory proved true when I marketed a similar product for headaches, & brain fog. My electrolytes KILLED, I spent $298 in ads and received back 4x. You should know if your product or service has a built in market. Look online, look at competitors, make sure a market exists. Don’t try reinventing the wheel!


Compelling Offer 

I’ll use the story my professor told me. After Arno became a realtor, he was “one fish in the sea.” He noticed that each and every single one of his colleagues had no offer when they ran advertisements. Every ad essential was “pick me because x,y,z”. Their ads looked similar like this ->



Not a horrible ad, there just needs some tweaks. Most people would glance over this because nobody is forcing me to read this. Why would anyone force you to read anything? This brings me to my next point. Make a compelling offer. A bargain so irresistible and pleasing they’ll think it’s a steal. For example, Arnos offer; “Your home sold in 92 days, or i'll pay you $1500. Compelling, and now I must keep reading to get this $1500.


Audience


We have a product that solves a problem and a compelling offer, all we need is to generate leads. This is an easy one, now put yourself in a plumber's situation. Nobody knows when their toilet is going to be clogged, it just happens. Can you reach that person before your competitor? Why should that person go with you and not them?
